This blog will be updated regularly before and
during the Boston Meeting by host committee
members at the host committee booth.
Please offer your suggestions of what to include.
In addition, based on member questions and
feedback, items will be entered regularly
during the meeting. We will share
where to go
where to eat
what to avoid
situations
significant lost items
We might also post
meeting place with others (not dating game
depending upon time and effort to maintain.
Some worthwhile tips for meeting attendees:
plan ahead (look at the program and put
together a daily itinerary)
allow lots of travel time between the new
Convention Center and the hotels;
wear comfy shoes;
Boston is expensive, so plan your expenses
accordingly;
there is an ACS Operations Office on every
site, so be sure to stop by to ask questions;
if you have difficulty walking, check with
the Ops office for the possible
use of a scooter;
never wear your badge outside - (it screams
“tourist” to criminal types);
pick up a program on site and don’t rely on
the C&EN preliminary program -
there are always lots of changes! Etc.
Plan to meet people. Bring business cards. Plan
to lunch with people. Plan some down time to get
the most out of Boston.
